Tutorial – Use SCRAPEBOX and getting comments approved
In the following I will show you how to make comments with Scrapebox that will get more likely approved as they are relevant to the topic of the blog post and don´t look like the regular spam comment (generic comment!). Furthermore, this method helps you to only comment on blogs that are not abandoned and (if at all!) still moderated. This will drastically increase your approval rate.
Here you see what your comment needs in order to get accepted:
- NO-SPAM
- NON GENERIC COMMENTS: “Great blog!”, “I like your article!”, etc. will not get approved. At least I don´t approve these and so do many others. If these comments get displayed on the blog the quality of these blogs (and the PR) is often very low.
- RELEVANCY: Your comment must be relevant to the blog post
- CONTROVERSIAL: I noticed that some (!) blog owners approve controversial comments, only to start debates on their blogs that cause more and more comments. Controversy is not necessary, but you can play a bit around with that!
(You can use the following method on recent events as well as events that lie in the past. I would recommend using the method for events that lie in the past since you will comment on pages that have already gained PR. The problem in recent events is that the page you are commenting on has no PR yet, but you can create traffic with this method. Furthermore, your chances with a controversial comment to get approved are higher because blog owners really want to start conversations on their new blog entries.)
- KEEP IN MIND: The topic needs to be widespread, which means that you´ll need to find a topic that is massively discussed in order to find a lot of blogs that are posting about the topic!
#1: Find a widespread topic / event:
- Method #1: In order to find general scandals/topics try news.google.com and/or news.google.com/archivesearch to find recent topics or topics/scandals that happened some months ago. If you want to find widespread scandals/topics from the past you need to do an advanced search in the Google news archive search and select a time-period. I recommend searching for events that lie 3-5 months in the past, that also depends on the last PR update, etc.
- Method #2: Use other news sites like yahoo, etc. etc.
- Method #3: If you want to target niche-specific blogs then you will have to find sites that show niche-specific blogs. Let us assume I want to make comments for my blog about celebrities: I would search now for a site where I can find news that are related to my topic (here: celebrity gossip and scandals). I would have chosen for example eonline.com. If you can´t remember a scandal that lies some months in the past you would type into google something like: inurl:”eonline.com” + scandal. So, we would have found the “scandal” about Lindsay Lohan and that she was arrested. That’s a good topic and it was very widespread (if we assume that she was arrested 5 months ago, so that we could comment on a blog entry in the past!).
#2: Find blogs in scrapebox:
Type in the keywords you want to use to search for. I would use something like “inurl:Lindsay jail arrest” or “intitle:Lindsay jail arrest”.
To get more results you could also search just for “Lindsay jail arrest”.
Remove duplicate URL´s / domains
#3: Write a relevant comment:
You can apply now all your Scrapebox secrets, spin your comments, etc.
| “Wow. I really can´t believe that Lindsay finally had to go to jail. She is such a nice girl after all!” |
–> That comment would be a bit controversial, since that lil´ chick didn´t behave nice at all!
| “I think it is good that Lindsay had to go to jail. Not even a celebrity should be able to break the law several times without punishment.” |
#4: Another twist:
Okay, I wanted to leave this out, but here you go:
If you comment on a topic that happened in the past you can also add some recent news to that comment, to make the comment look even more legit and give a reason why you posted on an old topic.
| “I think it was good that Lindsay had to go to jail. After all, she seems to behave law abiding after the time in jail. I haven´t even heard any kind of scandal about her anymore. I´m really surprised, but I think she does anything to never ever go to jail anymore!”. |
ADDITIONAL:
By using the search operator inurl: you will most likely find wordpress blogs that have been optimized so that their title will show in the url.
By using the search operator intitle you will find blog entries where your topic is in the title = high relevancy.
